Virtual Pride Parade

The month of June is celebrated as Pride month. In this people belonging to the LGBTQ+ community come out on the streets to celebrate their community. They perform parades, rallies, dances, etc to show their unity and to take pride in themselves. People bring out their flags of different colors representing the gay, queer, lesbian communities and wave them with pride. Anyone and everyone can participate in this without having to identify themselves as an LGBTQ+ member. It is a way of creating acceptance and an effort to normalize gay, bisexual, and homosexual people. It also conveys the message of how people would no longer accept oppression in the name of righteousness.   It goes on to pay tribute to the stonewall riots of the 1970s which marked the beginning of such movements.   This is an effort to celebrate and pay respect to the community which has been discriminated against for far too long.
